Saturday, September 29th, 10.00am to 4.00pm for the Vestry Screen and Open Church Project.
We would like to be able to leave our historic church open during the day so that it can be used as a quiet place, for prayer and for visitors. To do this sensibly we need a secure area inside the church and intend to achieve this by closing off the Martyn Chapel, which we presently use as a vestry area, with a decorative metal screen. We already have generous sponsorship for the materials for this.
Having spent considerable sums on maintaining the building in the last year we need to raise additional funds to make and install the screen and to install a new safe. We need approximately £7,500.
